The Rotary Club of the Capital City has given $18,175 to Wake Tech’s Fostering Bright Futures program, a public-private partnership that supports young adults as they age out of the foster care system. Rotary presented the contribution to Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen Scott today.

Wake Tech Community College showcased its new Beltline Education Center, a larger and more accessible facility for adult education, at an open house today.

Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Tech Community College, has named Dr. Gayle Greene Executive Vice President, the second-highest leadership post at the college.

Dr. Stephen Scott, president of Wake Tech Community College, is proud to announce a 1,450 students made the President’s List or Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester.  

More than 60 Wake Tech faculty members earned professor status tonight at the second annual Faculty Rank Induction Ceremony. Wake Tech established the ranking system last year as a way to reward excellence – and to attract and retain the most effective educators.

For retired pharmacist and health administrator Julian Bradley, it’s painting, and his artwork is being shown at Cary’s Town Hall from January 27 to March 23. The Second Chance Painting Exhibition, as the event is called, is Bradley’s effort to help others pursue their passions at Wake Tech Community College. 

Wake Technical Community College welcomes Natalie Aman as Program Coordinator for Global Logistics Technology. Previously an adjunct instructor, Aman is responsible for the approval, development, and delivery of curriculum courses in the Global Logistics Technology (GLT) program.

People interested in cosmetology and natural hair care careers now have a streamlined, non-degree option for earning the required credentials. Wake Tech’s School of Cosmetology certification and Natural Hair Care Specialist licensure programs will be offered at the newly-opened Beltline Education Center beginning in March, and registration is now open.
