College Closed Tuesday Due to Weather

All Wake Tech campuses are closed Tuesday due to inclement weather. Students taking in-person classes should check with their instructors for more information. Online classes continue as scheduled. Many Wake Tech student services, including Admissions and Advising, are available online at virtualsupport.waketech.edu. Wake Tech employees who can work remotely should do so.

Custom Training Program Eligibility Guidelines

The Custom Training Program provides education, training and support services for new, expanding and existing businesses and industries that are creating jobs in North Carolina. The growth potential of companies is enhanced while simultaneously preparing a workforce with the skills essential for successful employment in emerging industries.

To access Custom Training Program incentives, your business must meet the following guidelines:

  • Be in one of these industries
    • Manufacturing
    • Information technology
    • Life sciences
    • Regional or national warehousing/distribution center
    • Customer support center
    • Air courier services
    • National headquarters
  • Demonstrate two or more of these criteria
    • Making an appreciable capital investment
    • Deploying new technology
    • Creating jobs, expanding an existing workforce or enhancing the productivity and profitability of the operations in the state
    • Enhancing skills of workers
