Network & Cloud Administration AAS

The Network & Cloud Administration AAS Degree provides students with a broad, integrated skill set that spans multiple domains, from cloud computing to network administration to IT support.

Students can choose between two concentrations of study: Cloud Specialist or Network & IT Support Specialist.

The Cloud Specialist concentration focuses on designing, deploying and managing cloud-based solutions in modern IT environments. Students learn the following skills:

  • Configuring and managing cloud platforms (public, hybrid and multi-cloud)
  • Deploying virtual machines, storage and networking in the cloud
  • Implementing cloud security and identity management
  • Utilizing automation tools and infrastructure-as-code concepts
  • Supporting enterprise cloud environments and operations

Graduates should qualify for positions such as cloud support specialist, cloud administrator, systems administrator or DevOps technician.

The Network & IT Support Specialist concentration emphasizes networking technologies combined with end-user and enterprise IT support. Students learn the following skills:

  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting network devices
  • Managing LAN/WAN environments and network services
  • Providing technical support for hardware, software and users
  • Implementing basic cybersecurity measures
  • Supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and operations

Career opportunities include jobs such as network support specialist, IT support technician, helpdesk analyst or network administrator.

Graduates also are prepared to sit for various CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft and AWS certification tests.
