Network & Cloud Administration

The Network & Cloud Administration program prepares students for dynamic careers in today's rapidly evolving IT landscape, where networking, cloud infrastructure and technical support skills increasingly overlap.

As organizations adopt cloud technologies, hybrid environments and automation tools, IT professionals must be equipped with a broad, integrated skill set that spans multiple domains. This program allows students to gain a strong technical foundation while selecting a pathway that aligns with their career goals.

Students in the program gain the following knowledge and skills:

• Network design, implementation and troubleshooting
• Cloud infrastructure deployment and management
• Operating systems (Windows and Linux) administration
• Virtualization, hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices
• IT service management and technical support
• Automation and scripting for system administration

Graduates will be prepared to take various IT certification tests and should be qualified for positions such as cloud support specialist, systems administrator, IT support technician or network administrator.

Students in the Network & Cloud Administration program are required to have the following base hardware to participate in online classes:

• Operating system: Windows 10 or 11 (Windows 11 recommended)
• Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 (Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 or higher recommended)
• Memory (RAM): 16 GB (more recommended for improved performance)
• Storage: 512 GB hard drive (7200 RPM or SSD, or larger for improved performance, recommended)
• Webcam: Required for online participation and exam proctoring (when applicable)

NOTE: A Windows-based computer is required for this degree program. Virtualization software, tools and virtual labs used in course work are not compatible with macOS, Chromebooks, tablets or mobile devices. The program does not provide technical support for non-Windows systems or configurations, such as dual-booting or running Windows in a virtual machine as your primary operating system for courses.
