College Closed Monday Because of Winter Storm

Due to inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026. Students taking in-person classes should check with their instructors for more information. Online classes will continue as scheduled. Many Wake Tech services, including Admissions and Academic Advising, are available virtually at virtualsupport.waketech.edu. Wake Tech employees who can work remotely should do so.

Certificate Programs

  • The Geomatics Field Tech Certificate allows students to explore various equipment, software and technologies associated with data collection and processing in the surveying industry.

  • The Geomatics Tech I Certificate allows students to explore various aspects of surveying at the fundamental level.

  • The UAS Drone Tech Certificate teaches students how to use online applications to create GIS databases and perform detailed mapping analysis of spatial datasets. Students also learn the theory, implementation and operations of GNSS.
