Wake Tech's Spring graduation ceremonies are set for 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends unable to attend in person can watch the ceremonies live online.
The Adult High School and High School Equivalency programs will hold their graduation ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends can watch it live online as well.
This certificate program provides the student with a program of study necessary for developing basic electronic skills. The student will gain an understanding of AC/DC basic circuits, digital circuits and basic electronic devices.
Courses may be transferred directly toward completion of the Associate in Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
Overall, the Electronics Engineering Technology curriculum prepares individuals to become technicians who design, build, install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, equipment, and systems such as industrial/computer controls, manufacturing systems, communication systems, and power electronic systems.
A broad-based core of courses, including basic electricity, solid-state fundamentals, digital concepts, microprocessors, microcontrollers, and programmable logic controllers ensures the student will develop the skills necessary to perform entry-level tasks. Beyond the core courses, topics include communication systems and industrial control systems with emphasis placed on analyzing and troubleshooting electronic systems.
