On Campus

"On Campus" indicates that in order to earn the degree, diploma, or certificate,   the student is required to physically attend classes in a classroom on one of Wake Tech's campuses or centers.  


The Online designation indicates that 100% of the course material is offered Online. Online learning refers to the ongoing trend towards computer-based interactive studies. These courses deliver a series of lessons to a web browser or mobile device, to be conveniently accessed anytime, anyplace. Online Learning Details


"Hybrid" or "Blended" are names commonly used to describe courses in which some traditional face-to-face "seat time" has been replaced by online learning activities. The purpose of a hybrid course is to take advantage of the best features of both face-to-face and online learning.

Wake Tech Flex (Competency-Based Education)

WAKE TECH FLEX is a competency-based education (CBE) model that may expedite a student’s opportunity to earn a degree.  This learning model that allows students to get credit for what they already know, progress at their own pace, and demonstrate to employers that they have mastered all of the material in their degree.
