Wake Tech is closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday. Prospective students can still apply online, and current students can register for mini-mester courses. All classes will resume and offices will reopen Tuesday morning.
The Baking & Pastry Arts Diploma includes basic and advanced courses to help prepare students for entry into the baking field or to advance in their current position. Classes address both the art and science of baking. Students learn cooking and baking principles, garnishing and presentation skills. Modern supervision techniques are studied and practiced.
The majority of class time is devoted to actual hands-on kitchen skill development. It is recommended that you speak with a departmental advisor for guidance on course selection.
NOTE: Tuition listed is for in-state students. Out-of-state tuition is higher.
Tuition is set annually by the State Board of Community Colleges. Wake Tech charges various fees in addition to tuition, and individual programs also have specific costs associated with them.
