Wake Tech's Spring graduation ceremonies are set for 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends unable to attend in person can watch the ceremonies live online.
The Adult High School and High School Equivalency programs will hold their graduation ceremony at 8 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends can watch it live online as well.
NOTE: This program is being terminated and won't accept new students after June 1. Faculty advisors will work with current students to ensure they complete their certificates by May 2027.
The Penetration Testing & Ethical Hacking Certificate focuses on the skills required to detect the vulnerabilities of an organization's systems and networks that a malicious attacker may exploit. Students also learn to develop solutions to prevent such data breaches.
Overall, the Cybersecurity program covers a broad expanse of technology concepts. The curriculum provides individuals with the skills required to implement effective and comprehensive information security controls.
Coursework includes networking technologies, operating systems administration, information policy, intrusion detection, ethical hacking, security administration and industry best practices to protect data communications.
The National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have designated Wake Tech as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education to help address a critical shortage of professionals with cybersecurity skills.
