Wake Tech is hosting FAFSA Day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, when Financial Aid Office representatives can help students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The event is at Scott Northern Wake Campus, Building C, and Southern Wake Campus, Building L. Advance registration is encouraged.
This certificate program builds on the Mechanical Analysis and Design Certificate and includes coursework in engineering materials, strength of materials, safety and solid modeling, using SolidWorks software.
Some courses in the Mechanical Analysis and Design II Certificate program have one or more prerequisites.
Overall, the Mechanical Engineering Technology curriculum prepares students for employment as mechanical engineering technicians. Students learn the skills needed to assist with designing, developing, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment.
