Students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program must meet the following standards:
Read prints, schematics, documents, charts and information on computer monitors
Communicate with co-workers
Wear hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes and other safety-related equipment as required by industry
Due to the diversity of jobs in this field, there may be additional requirements mandated by an individual company. But these will not necessarily be consistent with the profession as a whole.
