College Closed for Thanksgiving

Wake Tech is closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Prospective students can still apply online, and current students can register for Spring semester classes. All classes will resume and offices will reopen on Monday morning.

Finance Analytics Certificate

Wake Tech Course ID: C25350F

The Finance Analytics Certificate prepares students for job opportunities in the finance analytics field. Students can learn business analytics practices and how they are applicable in the financial sector.

The certificate includes BAS-120, ACC-120, BAS-121 and BUS-225 courses. Credits earned in the program may be transferred toward an AAS degree in Business Analytics.

Overall, the Business Analytics curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and the skills in the following:

  • Statistical and analytic theory, best practices and analysis
  • Data mining and data warehousing
  • Predictive modeling
  • Project and operations management
  • Analytical tools and techniques

Related skills include business communication, critical thinking and decision making. The curriculum is hands-on, with an emphasis on application of theoretical and practical concepts. Students engage with the latest tools and technology.
