Certificate Programs

  • Business for Simulation & Game Development Certificate

    Business for Simulation & Game Development is the fourth in a series of certificates toward a Simulation & Game Development degree. The certificate introduces students to the business side of the industry, such as the creation of budgets and schedules, and tackles advanced topics in programming and art.

  • Level Design Certificate

    The Level Design Certificate prepares students for entry-level positions as a level designer within the simulation or video game industry by helping them understand the basics of level design in game engines.

  • Mobile Game Development Certificate

    The Mobile Game Development Certificate prepares students with skills needed to build games or simulations for mobile devices. This certificate focuses primarily on Apple devices and secondarily the Android market.

  • Modeling and Animation Certificate

    NOTE: This program is being terminated and won't accept new students after June 1. Faculty advisors will work with current students to ensure they complete their certificates by May 2027.


    The Simulation & Game Development Modeling and Animation certificate focuses on the skills needed for an entry-level artist within the simulation or video game industry. Training includes 3D modeling, animation and character development.

  • Simulation & Game Development Fundamentals I Certificate

    Fundamentals I is the first in a series of four certificates toward the Simulation & Game Development degree. The certificate introduces design, texturing, traditional art and programming basics, as well as what to expect from a career in simulation or video game development.

  • Simulation & Game Development Fundamentals II Certificate

    NOTE: This program is being terminated and won't accept new students after June 1. Faculty advisors will work with current students to ensure they complete their certificates by May 2027.


    The Simulation & Game Development Fundamentals II Certificate covers topics in 3D modeling, documentation and advanced design principals and introduces programming languages used in the industry.

  • Simulation & Game Development Production Certificate

    NOTE: This program is being terminated and won't accept new students after June 1. Faculty advisors will work with current students to ensure they complete their certificates by May 2027.


    The Simulation & Game Development Production Certificate program focuses on skills needed for entry-level positions in the production side of game development or simulation.

  • Simulation & Game Development Programming Certificate

    NOTE: This program is being terminated and won't accept new students after June 1. Faculty advisors will work with current students to ensure they complete their certificates by May 2027.


    The Simulation & Game Development Programming Certificate prepares students for an entry-level programming position within the simulation or video game industry.

  • Simulation & Game Development Quality Assurance Certificate

    The Simulation & Game Development Quality Assurance Certificate focuses on skills required for a position as a quality assurance tester in the simulation or video game industry.

  • Tech Art Certificate

    NOTE: This program is being terminated and won't accept new students after June 1. Faculty advisors will work with current students to ensure they complete their certificates by May 2027.


    The Tech Art Certificate focuses on training students in the creation and integration of 3D art assets and tools into the simulation and game development pipeline.

  • Technical Animation Certificate

    The Technical Animation Certificate prepares students to create assets using 3D data capture and advanced animation techniques.
