Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
Graduates of the Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT) program should be able to do the following:
Demonstrate knowledge by competently performing all NDT procedures
Recognize, differentiate and document technical issues, artifacts and clinical changes during acquisition testing procedures
Communicate effectively with all clinical team members before, during and after NDT procedures
Perform NDT procedures in a time-effective manner
Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and loved ones when explaining NDT procedures
Student performance is reflected through program effectiveness data, as defined by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Neurodiagnostic Technology. Program effectiveness data includes program completion rate, credentialing examination pass rate and job placement rate.
Three-Year Average Program Completion Rate – 69% The number of students who complete the program divided by the number who began the program. This may also include students who rejoin the program.
Thee-Year Average Credentialing Success Rate – 89% The percentage of students within a graduating class who pass the ABRET R. EEG T. or R. EP T. registry examination.
Three-Year Average Job Placement Rate – 96% The percentage of students within a graduating class who are employed in neurodiagnostics or a related field, continuing their education or serving in the military.
