College Closed for Thanksgiving

Wake Tech is closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Prospective students can still apply online, and current students can register for Spring semester classes. All classes will resume and offices will reopen on Monday morning.

Office Administration Professional AAS

NOTE: This program will be terminated in May 2026 and is no longer accepting new students. Faculty advisors will work with current students to ensure they complete their degrees by May 2026.

The Office Administration Professional AAS Degree prepares individuals for employment as administrative office personnel.

Students develop skills in the following:

  • Administrative office procedures and tasks
  • Office software applications
  • Records management
  • Keyboarding
  • Editing and advanced formatting
  • Office computations
  • Oral and written communication
  • Critical thinking
  • Team building
  • Problem solving

Graduates should qualify for employment opportunities in a variety of office positions in business, government and industry. Students also are eligible to take industry-recognized certification exams.
