Students whose financial aid is suspended due to exceeding the maximum time frame or not meeting the grade point average and/or completion rate requirement may appeal if they have extenuating circumstances that contributed to the poor academic performance. You are required to submit documentation to support your explanation.
Students who wish to submit an appeal form must first complete an online Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) workshop. The workshop will review the basics of SAP and how to complete an appeal form. The appeal form will be provided at the end of the workshop on the confirmation page.
A SAP Calculator is available to assist you in determining the number of credit hours you need to successfully complete in future semesters and the grades you will need to earn in order to maintain financial aid eligibility.
SAP appeal reviews
SAP appeals will be reviewed according to the following tentative schedule, provided appropriate documentation is submitted along with the appeal. If additional information is needed, appeals will be reviewed in the order of the latest date submission.
