The Associate in Arts curriculum provides a solid general education foundation for students pursuing a four-year degree in a variety of disciplines, including liberal arts, business, education, social sciences, or nursing, and professional programs requiring a liberal arts background. The course parallels those taught during the first two years at four-year institutions, and upon transfer, are the equivalent of courses taught in the University of North Carolina system.
