All Wake Tech campuses will remain closed Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Students taking in-person classes should check with their instructors for more information. Online classes will continue as scheduled. Many Wake Tech services, including Admissions and Academic Advising, are available virtually at virtualsupport.waketech.edu. Wake Tech employees who can work remotely should do so.
Veterans Zones are spaces for Wake Tech's student veterans and their family members to connect in a safe environment and interact in a unique academic and social setting. A variety of services, including a computer lab and activity center, are available, as are representatives from Veterans Upward Bound, NC Serves and Student Veterans of America.
A green zone is a location recognized by veterans as a safe place. The goal of the Green Zone program is to provide a safe space for student veterans, whether on campus or online.
Wake Tech offers a training program for staff and faculty to become Green Zone advocates.
Graduates of the Green Zone training program display the program logo in their offices or on their syllabi.
