In this course, you will use some powerful tools to clarify your skills, interests and work values – three key pieces of information to guide your career choices. Armed with this powerful knowledge, you will be introduced to online tools to explore specific occupations and learn about the associated salaries and employment trends. You will learn networking skills to build your professional network to identify advocates that can help you begin the career you want.
Course Objectives
  1. have completed skill, interest and work value self-assessments and identified occupations suitable for their interests and abilities;
  2. researched the work environments, knowledge, and skills required for occupations that align with their personal interests;
  3. documented salaries, job outlooks, and educational requirements for specific occupations of interest;
  4. discovered how to further explore occupations of interest;
  5. and learned how to find and meet business professionals working in desired occupations and how to build a strong business network.
