Whether you are seeking your first or your fifteenth job, it is essential to prepare for the interview! In this course students will develop strategies to ensure they are ready for all phases of an in-person or virtual interview, including how to have compelling body language, how to effectively answer a variety of interview questions, and how to ask questions, close an interview and follow-up after it happens. The class includes practical hands-on interview practice individually and with the class.

  1. have identified essential actions to take before and during an interview;
  2. have learned how to apply effective body language and communication techniques in an interview;
  3. have learned how to describe different types of interviews and the stages of the interview process;
  4. have listed commonly used interview questions;
  5. have demonstrated how to effectively answer behavioral and non-behavioral interview questions;
  6. have learned how to prepare questions to ask in an interview, an interview closing, and interview follow-up;
  7. have identified their next steps to prepare for future interviews.
