Online Distance Training

ONLINE TRAINING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL

Online Classes

Mandated Courses:
Wake Tech's online distance education courses allow officers to access their coursework twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Online courses are taught by the same Qualified Instructors that teach our traditional classroom courses. The level of coursework, required readings, and examinations are the same for online and on-campus courses. Courses are designed with you, the officer, in mind and the instruction is focused on active participation and scheduling flexibility.

TRAINING WHERE YOU WANT, WHEN YOU WANT.

Online training is a valuable and cost-effective method for continuous education and overall productivity enhancement. Online learning is ideal for those who are concerned about balancing the rigors of meeting training requirements with full-time employment and family obligations.

Online training offers a solution to what is often the number one obstacle to training: time. With the 24/7 access of online training, you are always in control of how, where and when you train.

WHY CHOOSE ONLINE LEARNING?

Convenience. Traditional training relies on instructors presenting materials at a specific time and location. Online training enables Officers to learn in the office or at home, and allows the flexibility of scheduling training when it is most convenient. Students can complete assignments during their most productive times. Continual access to course material also insures students can obtain materials at any time.

Relevant. Course content includes the most current topics and ensures training is applicable to an officer’s career path and agency needs.

Immediate. Internet delivery enables course availability via computer, smart phone or tablet.

Affordable. Cost savings is a key attraction: Departments save between 50-70% by eliminating  travel expenses.

Easy to Use. Open an Internet browser and you are up and running quickly.

Pace of learning. One fundamental advantage of online training is that students can learn at their own pace. Student activities are scheduled at the end of each training module reinforcing an individual's knowledge prior to advancing to the next module.

Presentation. Online training courses are supplemented by onscreen graphics, power point presentations and/or short videos that may accelerate learning.

Consistency. One of the advantages of online training is consistency. Online courses are consistent and ensure every officer receives the same level of training.

Instructors are more accessible. Online communication also benefits Officers by providing instructor accessibility. Officers have the ability to submit inquires via email or phone call at any time.
