*Certification is not required, so the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board fees are optional.
With Wake Tech's Eagle Advantage program, all printed and digital course materials will be bundled and ready for pickup or delivery on or before the first day of class, for a set price of $27 per credit hour. But students may find it cheaper to opt out of the program and purchase books directly from the Wake Tech Bookstore (operated by Barnes & Noble) or through another vendor, such as Amazon.
*GRO-120 and GRO-220 share a common textbook. No textbooks are required for HSE-226, SAB-125, SWK-113, WBL-111 or WBL-115, but the Eagle Advantage program still carries a per-credit-hour charge for the courses.
NOTE: Prices listed are for new books, and non-Human Services Technology courses aren't included in this breakdown. Students opting to use Eagle Advantage must return their textbooks at the end of each semester.
Students should evaluate their specific course schedule each semester when making decisions about purchasing required course materials.
Barnes & Noble and Amazon prices are current as of May 2023.
