The Bioanalytical Lab Technology Associate in Applied Science Degree program prepares students to serve in three distinct capacities:
– Research assistant to a biologist or chemist
– Laboratory/instrumentation technician
– Quality control/assurance technician
The Biotechnology curriculum has emerged from molecular biology and chemical engineering. The degree focuses on applying biological sciences, biochemistry and genetics to create or enhance agricultural, environmental, clinical and industrial products. Enhancements include the commercial exploitation of microbes, plants and animals.
