The Birth-Kindergarten Licensure AAS Degree prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete B-K Licensure, which would qualify them to work as lead teachers in public pre-K and kindergarten classrooms.
Students gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as child development, child guidance, health, safety, nutrition and family engagement. This knowledge is reinforced through direct experience with young children in real-world settings under the supervision of qualified teachers.
