The Esthetics Technology Certificate provides knowledge of scientific and artistic principles, as well as hands-on fundamentals associated with the art of skin care. A simulated salon environment enables students to develop manipulative skills.
Course work covers all phases of professional esthetics technology, business and human relations, product knowledge and other related topics.
Graduates should be prepared to take the North Carolina Cosmetology State Board Licensing Exam. Upon passing, they may be licensed and qualify for employment in beauty and cosmetic/skin care salons, as a platform artist or in related businesses.
NOTE: Tuition listed is for in-state students. Out-of-state tuition is higher.
Tuition is set annually by the State Board of Community Colleges. Wake Tech charges various fees in addition to tuition, and individual programs also have specific costs associated with them.
