Student Activities at Wake Tech includes the Student Government Association (SGA) and its executive board, along with an extensive variety of programs, clubs and organizations designed to engage and inspire students. These groups offer valuable leadership experiences, connections to professional organizations, networking opportunities and special events that enrich students’ lives – during the college years and beyond.

Examples of yearly events:

  • Welcome Week
  • Campus & Community Resource Fair
  • Constitution Day
  • Facts & Snacks Club Resource Fair
  • Campus festivals
  • Coffee & Cuddles (with therapy dogs)
  • A Night at the Museum

All events are posted on the College Calendar on Wake Tech's website.

Staff are on two campuses:

  • Southern Wake Campus (Building N, Rooms 127, 134, 135, 136 and 137)
  • Scott Northern Wake Campus (Building B, Rooms 150 and 152)

Check out the Student Activities contact page to reach out to staff.

Visit the Student Clubs and Organizations webpage to learn about any of Wake Tech's more than 70 clubs. Click on any club that interests you for advisor contact information and how to join.

All student organizations must be approved by the college through the Office of Student Activities.

You'll find more information about starting a new club on the New Club/Organization Interest Form. Official club recognition may take two to four weeks.

NOTE: The Fall semester deadline to submit new club applications is October 1. The Spring semester deadline is  February 1.

There are multiple ways to get involved in SGA as a senator or an officer. Applications for senate are posted in January for open positions. For more information on SGA, email [email protected]. Also follow SGA on Instagram (@waketechsga) for information.

All students are cordially invited – and strongly encouraged – to get involved with SGA. General business meetings are held on the fourth week of every month and are a great place to let your voice be heard.

  • SGA Executive Board – Lead the Wake Tech student community. As a team, you work diligently with faculty, staff and students to improve and celebrate Wake Tech.

  • SGA Senator – Be a voice for students. Gather student comments, concerns and ideas and implement positive changes.

SGA General Assembly meetings are held at 2 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month. The SGA General Assembly includes all senators and Executive Board members, in addition to all club representatives and students. All students are welcome to attend the meetings. Check the SGA webpage for locations.

Each team recruits prospective student-athletes to form rosters each season.

All Wake Tech students are also encouraged to cheer on the Eagles! Admission to home games is free for students, faculty and staff. For the most up-to-date schedules, visit WakeTechSports.com and follow the Eagles on social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and X (@WakeTechSports).
