The Computed Tomography program prepares students to use specialized equipment to visualize cross-sectional anatomical structures to help diagnose diseases and other health issues.
The certificate is a specialty for radiographers, nuclear medicine technologists or radiation therapists registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Academic and clinical studies prepare technologists to provide patient care and perform studies using imaging equipment, professional communication and quality assurance in scheduled and emergency procedures.
Graduates may be eligible to sit for the ARRT exam for Radiologic Technologist Advanced-Level in Computed Tomography. They may find employment in facilities performing imaging procedures.
