The Computed Tomography Certificate prepares students to use specialized equipment to visualize cross-sectional anatomical structures and help physicians visualize and identify diseases and abnormalities.
Individuals entering the program must be registered or registry-eligible radiologic technologists, radiation therapists or nuclear medicine technologists.
Course work prepares the technologist to provide patient care and perform studies utilizing imaging equipment in scheduled and emergency procedures:
Students also will learn through academic and clinical studies how to communicate professionally with patients, their families and physicians.
