Come see who will be crowned Wake Tech Idol this year!
The finals of the college's ninth-annual singing competition is set for 7 p.m. November 8 in the Lecture Hall on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Tickets are $8 each.
The following students will be competing for scholarship prizes of $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $1,250 for third place:
The guest judges for the competition are Quinton Taylor, a piano teacher and vocal coach who won the 2023 Wake Tech Idol competition; Rheji Burrell, a songwriter, music producer and co-founder of the Nu Groove record label; and Jacqueline Williams Whittenburg, co-founder and executive director of The Dereck Whittenburg Foundation for Education.
Wake Tech Idol is hosted and sponsored by the Entrepreneurship & Small Business Center, the Scott Northern Wake Campus Hospitality Committee and the Wake Tech Foundation.
