Don’t have access to a reliable vehicle to get to and from campus and classes? The Care Center can show you how to obtain a free bus pass or get in touch with other students to form a carpool. And if you have a car but just don’t have money for gas this week, we may be able to help with that, too.
All Wake Tech students are eligible for a free regional GoPass, which allows you to ride GoTriangle and GoRaleigh buses without paying a fare.
GoRaleigh buses serve the Southern Wake, Scott Northern Wake, Perry Health Sciences and Public Safety Education campuses, as well as the Beltline Education Center. GoTriangle buses serve the Southern Wake, Scott Northern Wake and RTP campuses.
If you prefer a carpool, students can be matched with other riders based on location, schedule and preferences. Carpools even get preferred parking spots on Scott Northern Wake, Western Wake and Perry Health Sciences campuses.

The CARE Center also can provide free gas cards to students with their own transportation who can't afford to fill the tank.
NOTE: Students must be currently enrolled in at least six credit hours in a degree program at Wake Tech during the semester of the request for assistance. Classes must be on campus, and the student must be in good standing with the institution.
Applications are approved depending on the availability of funding. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee approval of your application. Students may be awarded a gas card one time per academic year.
