The Eastern Wake Education Center (EWEC) provides non-credit training for residents in the eastern part of Wake County. Programs include Vocational classes taught in English and Spanish; and training in Residential Building Analysis, Apartment Maintenance Technicians Training, Auto Dealers Pre-Licensing 12-Hour course, Escort Vehicle Operator Training, Bilingual Basic Computer Troubleshooting, Commercial Drone Pilot Training, Electrical Wiring, HVAC, EPA Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling Certification and Notary Public Education. The campus features the BPI Test Center, a 300-square-foot house constructed on site to serve as an energy audit laboratory, and it is approved by the Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) to offer the BPI-Certified Energy Auditor credential. The campus also features a new inspection training facility which will be home to the NC Auto Inspection (OBD and Vehicle Safety) Certification courses.
