Spring 2022

After two years of mostly virtual commencement ceremonies because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wake Tech held two in-person ceremonies on Scott Northern Wake Campus on May 7, 2021. Guests were allowed to attend, and the event was livestreamed so that graduates who chose not attend and family and friends of graduates who couldn't attend the ceremonies could watch online.

Fall 2021

In December 2021, Wake Tech held a modified graduation. The event was a scaled-down version of an in-person ceremony in addition to a virtual graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event began with an in-person, "walk-across-the-stage” opportunity, which allowed graduates to have their name called as they crossed the stage and had their photo taken with Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls. Virtual graduation slide options were available for students who chose not to attend the in-person ceremony.

Spring 2021

Wake Tech held a hybrid-style graduation on May 8, 2021, that included a scaled-down version of an in-person ceremony in addition to a virtual graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The college planned a prerecorded event, complete with graduate photos and video speeches, beginning with an in-person, "walk-across-the-stage" opportunity that allowed graduates to have their name called as they cross the stage and have their photo taken with Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls. The celebration was held outdoors at the Scott Northern Wake Campus at the clock tower. In an effort to keep the college community safe and healthy, the ceremony was a graduate-only event, with no guests allowed. The event was livestreamed for families and friends to watch.
