Support Fostering Bright Futures

Fostering Bright Futures (FBF) is a driving force for a better future, removing barriers and creating opportunities. The student success program addresses the overwhelming need for a comprehensive support structure to help area foster youth make the transition from foster care to independent young adulthood.

There are many ways you can support the program with your time, talent and treasure:

  • Use your knowledge and experience as a mentor to former foster youth
  • Serve as an academic tutor
  • Share your skills in a workshop
  • Join a volunteer committee
  • Rent a room in your home to a former foster youth, or provide other housing assistance
  • Donate clothing, household goods or gift cards

Fostering Bright Futures Holiday Celebration

As the holidays approach each year, most people begin to feel the excitement of being with family, having an abundance of delicious food and exchanging gifts with those we love. Sadly, this isn't the case for everyone, particularly for youth coming out of foster care.

Through FBF, the community steps forward annually to rally around these students and make sure they aren't forgotten, especially around the holidays. Please consider making an FBF student's holiday wish come true by sponsoring a student or giving a gift card.

Fostering Footsteps for Bright Futures

Fit & Able invites you to run or walk in the annual Fostering Footsteps for Bright Futures fundraising event. Proceeds from the race support FBF, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
