WakeWorks Youth Apprenticeship

Youth apprenticeships are work-based learning programs designed for high school students who are at least 16 years of age. For students, it’s a chance to gain experience and learn skills in a real work environment.  Youth apprentices also take dual-enrollment (Career and College Promise) classes at Wake Tech at no charge, which count toward high school and college credit.

Youth apprenticeship career fields currently being offered include manufacturing, engineering, automotive and skilled trades.

For more information, please contact Wake Tech's Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator Jean McBride at [email protected].
