Testing Center - Beltline Education Center

The Testing Center reopens on June 1, 2020 on a limited schedule due to the global pandemic. We will only be offering computer-based testing. Please review our Policies page for COVID-19 action required updates before your appointment. 

If you are experiencing issues scheduling your exam, try scheduling just ONE subject at a time. Due to COVID-19 cleaning measures, we cannot accommodate back-to-back testing sessions.

Testing Center Hours:

Monday: 8:30am - 11:30am and 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Tuesday: Temporarily Closed
Wednesday: 8:30am - 11:30am and 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Thursday:  Sessions beginning at 8:30am, 10:30am, and 2:30pm
Friday: Temporarily Closed

Information about the closing of the college because of inclement weather will be announced via Wake Tech Warn, social media, and on local radio and television stations and will be posted on Wake Tech's website.

Can I use the DMV renewal slip to take my exam?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept the DMV renewal slip as identification for testing. Please wait until the hardcopy arrives in the mail before scheduling your testing appointment.

Why is there a block on my HiSET® or GED® account?

Students who are 16 ½- 18 years of age must complete and submit underage paperwork before they can register for an exam. Please stop by the Beltline Education Center and ask for “underage paperwork”.

How do I request a transcript or diploma?

Upon initially completing your High School Credential you may request your transcript/diploma by registering at www.diplomasender.com Follow the instructions to request your transcript and diploma. 

What score do I need to pass the High School Equivalency Subject Test?

The score for GED® is 145. The score for HiSET® is 8.  

Can I combine HiSET® & GED® scores?

No, you must successfully pass and meet the requirements for one test vendor.
