Congratulations graduates!

Wake Tech's Spring graduation ceremonies are set for 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends unable to attend in person can watch the ceremonies live online.

The Adult High School and High School Equivalency programs will hold their graduation ceremony at 8 p.m. Saturday on Scott Northern Wake Campus. Family and friends can watch it live online as well.

LaunchCary

LaunchCary is one of a number of programs in the nationwide LaunchMyCity initiative started by Rotary International in 2013 to provide entrepreneurs the training and resources needed to launch and build businesses.

LaunchCary logoWake Tech's Entrepreneurship & Small Business Center works with area Rotary clubs, town officials and chambers of commerce on 10 such local programs, under the LaunchWakeCounty umbrella. To date, Wake Tech has helped more than 900 people create business plans to develop their small business.

LaunchCary is open to small-business owners who would benefit from the combination of business and financial resources the program provides. Entrepreneurs with great new business ideas will also be considered.

To participate in the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Own or plan to start a business in Cary
  • Be able to supply products or services that can generate a profit
  • Undergo interview by selection committee
  • Complete business training once a week for 10 weeks
  • Develop a business plan and a budget
  • Be willing to meet and/or communicate regularly with an assigned business mentor
