We continue to make significant progress as we continue down the path to identify a new president for Wake Tech. I am very thankful for an experienced and thoughtful Search Committee who is leading the process. The search attracted 60 applicants from across the country as candidates recognized the tremendous opportunity to lead our innovative, student-focused college.

The Search Committee met on October 19 and narrowed the field to 13 strong candidates, all of whom are very excited about the opportunity to lead Wake Tech. They have substantial higher education executive experience, are diverse, and have achieved impressive accomplishments.  They have now been asked to answer four questions in a video response that will be reviewed by the Search Committee. AGB Search will also be conducting additional due diligence as well as checking references over the next two weeks.

The Search Committee will meet again on November 5 to discuss the video responses and reference feedback, and select the semi-finalists. These individuals will be interviewed on November 15-16, at which point the finalists will be named. The final interviews are planned for November 29-December 7. We are working on a comprehensive schedule for the final interviews and will be sending that to you once the dates are set. That schedule will include several opportunities for both campus and community participation. We will also be executing a survey that will allow you to provide your assessment of the candidates. Wake Tech is our college!

Thank you for your continued support and participation in this exciting and very important process. I will continue to keep you posted as we proceed on the path to selecting our new president.

Have a great day!
