RALEIGH, N.C. (October 20, 2026) – Wake Tech has received the North Carolina State Auditor's Award of Excellence for its fiscal year 2025 financial statement.

Presented by the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor, the award is reserved for state agencies, universities, community colleges and other public entities that demonstrate exceptional financial management, accountability and stewardship of public resources.

Wake Tech earned the recognition by meeting rigorous criteria that included timely financial reporting, no significant audit adjustments, no reportable audit findings and full cooperation throughout the audit process.

Led by Vice President and Chief Financial and Business Officer Marla Tart, Executive Director of Financial Services David McNally and the Financial Services team, the achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism and attention to detail of the college's financial leadership and staff and underscores Wake Tech's commitment to responsibly managing taxpayer dollars.
