New Care Center Locations Expand Student Support
Wake Tech students and staff celebrate the opening of the Care Center at the Beltline Education Center.

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 20, 2026) – Wake Tech students have expanded access to essential wraparound support services with the opening of Care Center locations at the Beltline Education Center, Western Wake Campus and Public Safety Education Campus.

The Care Center connects students to a range of resources designed to support academic success and personal well‑being, including student success coaches, emergency aid, Wellness Services, Student Money Management, technology and transportation assistance, and The Nest Food Pantry. The Care Center also supports Fostering Bright Futures, Wake Tech's program designed to help students with foster care experience succeed in college and beyond.

This expansion reflects Wake Tech's ongoing commitment to meeting students where they are by increasing access to critical resources, personalized support and one‑on‑one guidance.

"Expanding the Care Center to additional locations ensures that more students have timely access to the resources they need to navigate challenges and stay on track," said Faith Palmer, dean of the Care Center. "This growth reflects our commitment to removing barriers and supporting the whole student from entry through completion."

Wake Tech now has eight Care Center locations:

  • Public Safety Education Campus – Room 1611
  • Western Wake Campus – Room 254
  • Beltline Education Center – Room 220B
  • Scott Northern Wake Campus – Building B, Suite 134
  • Southern Wake Campus – Building L, Suite 128
  • RTP Campus – Building 1, Suite 101
  • Perry Health Sciences Campus – Building A, Suite 157
  • Eastern Wake Campus – Building C, Suite 135

Virtual appointments are also available.

In addition, students can pick up hygiene items, school supplies and healthy snacks at The Perch, resource pantries located in campus libraries and Tutoring and Learning Centers across all Wake Tech campuses.

New Wake Tech students are automatically assigned a student success coach to help navigate college processes, academic challenges and personal needs. Current students who have not been assigned a coach may request one by emailing [email protected].
