Wake Tech Celebrates New Agreement with French Culinary School
RALEIGH, N.C. (October 21, 2010) -- Wake Technical Community College President Dr. Stephen Scott signed a new exchange agreement today with Henri Chweudura, the President of Lycee d'Etat Hotelier du Touquet, a culinary school in Le Touquet, France. Le Touquet is Cary's sister city.
Wake Tech has had a successful association with the Lycee d'Etat Hotelier du Touquet for almost two decades. The new agreement extends the exchange program another two years.
As part of the partnership, Wake Tech culinary students will travel to Le Touquet next spring to work in local restaurants and study French cuisine. Students from the culinary school there will travel here as well, and will observe culinary instruction at Wake Tech. Wake Tech students will host several fundraisers in the coming months to help them make the trip to France.
