College to Host Open House Saturday
RALEIGH, N.C. (October 9, 2023) – Wake Tech is hosting an Open House on October 14.
Open House is a great opportunity for high school students, families, school counselors, adult learners and the unemployed to get to know the college better and learn more about academic programs, enrollment services and support resources.
Events will happen from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in various locations on Southern Wake Campus.
The Open House schedule includes:
- Academic and Resource Fair, showcasing academic programs and student support services
- Information sessions about academic programs, resources, admissions, paying for college, university transfer and the dual-enrollment Career & College Promise program for high school students
- Campus tours and admissions information sessions offered in English and Spanish
- Classroom and lab tours
- Admissions lab offering application assistance
New students can apply for admission today at apply.waketech.edu. Once admitted, they can register for spring classes, beginning November 14.
Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college, serving nearly 64,000 adults annually, with six campuses – a seventh is under construction –, two training centers and a comprehensive array of online learning options. All Wake Tech programs, even those traditionally designed to prepare students for immediate employment, offer opportunities to transfer to a university for further study.
