College to Host On-Campus Open House
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 31, 2022) – Wake Tech is hosting an on-campus Open House on Saturday, April 9.
Open House is a great opportunity for high school students, parents, school counselors, adult learners and the unemployed to get know the college better and learn more about academic programs, enrollment services, and support resources.
Events will happen from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on two Wake Tech campuses:
Scott Northern Wake Campus
- Academic and resources fair, including information about degree programs, WakeWorks® Apprenticeship, athletics and career services
- Admissions and application lab
- Campus tours
- Classroom and lab tours
- Information sessions about academic programs, resources, admissions, paying for college, university transfer and Career and College Promise (CCP)
RTP Campus
- Enrollment labs
- Campus tours
- Information sessions about admissions, paying for college, university transfer and Career and College Promise (CCP)
2022 high school grads can also learn more about Wake Tech’s free tuition initiative and other financial resources that can help pay for college.
Are you interested in non-degree, fast-track training to earn industry credentials? Attend Wake Tech's Workforce Wednesday Virtual Information Session on April 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. Learn more about Open House and Workforce Wednesday at openhouse.waketech.edu.
In addition to Open House, Wake Tech also offers virtual information sessions for prospective students. These sessions are a great way to ask admissions questions, learn about student life and explore careers. Learn more at explore.waketech.edu.
New students can apply for admission today at apply.waketech.edu. Once admitted, they can register for Summer and Fall classes beginning April 21.
Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college, serving more than 70,000 adults annually, with six campuses (a seventh is under construction), two training centers, multiple community sites and a comprehensive array of online learning options. Nearly all Wake Tech programs, even those traditionally designed to prepare students for immediate employment, offer opportunities to transfer to a university for further study.
