Emily Ward loves to travel, explore, and take in all that life has to offer. “I work hard, and I love to play hard!” she says. She enjoys her job and her roles as college student, wife, and now, new mom! She’s performing a 21st century balancing act that’s familiar to many.

For Emily, “eLearning” has provided the perfect way to fit college into a very busy life. She’d taken college courses after high school, but took a break when she landed a full-time job in customer service. A short time later she was promoted to a level 2 logistics specialist. To stay competitive in the workplace, Emily enrolled in online classes at Wake Tech. She’s now well on her way to earning an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources Management and is determined to achieve her goal. Thanks to the convenience of online classes she takes from home, Emily will be able to continue her education even with her new busy schedule.
