Amy Hall Named Chief HR Officer
RALEIGH, N.C. (August 3, 2026) – Wake Tech has named Amy Hall as the college's next vice president of Human Resources. Hall, who currently serves as executive director of Human Resources, will begin her new role on September 1.
Hall brings more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience across higher education, nonprofit organizations and the corporate sector. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
"Amy has a collaborative leadership style, a deep commitment to service and a thoughtful approach to leading people and organizations," said Wake Tech President Dr. Scott Ralls. "I know she will continue the tradition of excellence established by our Human Resources team and provide steady leadership and care for our employees and our college."
Hall will lead the college's human resources strategy and operations, overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, employee training and staff professional development, benefits and compliance, as well as collegewide employee programs and events. She will work closely with college leadership to align HR priorities with Wake Tech's strategic goals and support a workplace culture focused on service, excellence and student success.
Born and raised in Raleigh, she is a 2006 Regional NC Leadership Goodmon fellow and is actively involved in advancing the HR profession, serving on the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) Leadership Program Development Committee and the CUPA-HR Membership Engagement Council. Committed to community leadership, she serves on the Kenan-Flagler Business School Alumni Council, the White Memorial Presbyterian Church Personnel Committee and previous Parent Teacher Association boards.
