Wake Tech Military and Veterans Services is launching our very first college-wide Purple Up Day for the Military Dependent, and we are inviting the entire Wake Tech family — faculty, staff, students, administrators, and leadership across all campuses — to help us make history.
?
Purple Up Day is a nationwide movement to celebrate and support military-connected youth — the children and dependents of those who serve. These are young people who carry enormous strength alongside real sacrifice: new schools, absent parents, constant change. Many of them are our students. On April 15, we want every one of them to look around and see that Wake Tech stands with them.
Years from now, we want people to say: "We were there the first time Wake Tech went purple."
🟣 HERE'S HOW TO BE PART OF HISTORY:
? WEAR PURPLE — All day. Every campus. Every role. No exceptions.
📸 TAKE A GROUP PHOTO OR VIDEO — We are asking every department, office, team, and student organization to gather in purple and capture the moment. This is your team's mark on Wake Tech's first Purple Up Day. Don't let your department be the one that missed it.
📲 SHARE IT — Post on social media using #PurpleUp and tag @WakeTech. Let's show the world what Wake Tech looks like when we rally around our military families.
👕 FREE T-SHIRTS FOR STUDENTS — Available at SWC, NWC, RTP, EWC, and PHSC while supplies last. SPREAD THE WORD!
