Protective De-Escalation Skills for Law Enforcement

This course gives law enforcement officers verbal and physical techniques for de-escalating a situation with a mentally ill respondent. Participants will examine situations that may require verbal de-escalation, look at traditional responses, and learn new strategies - including disengagement from the respondent if the situation permits.
