Career Connections Mentorship Program

The Career Connections Mentorship Program (CCM) provides free one-on-one monthly mentoring sessions with experienced professionals to Wake Tech students. Students receive guidance, support and real-world insight on their career journey through the sessions. By fostering meaningful connections, CCM helps students strengthen their career competencies and essential skills, build confidence and enhance their professional development.

CCM has the following goals:

  • Strengthen National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Competencies
Enhance students' proficiency in critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, communication, professionalism, technology and career and self-development
  • Build meaningful connections
Foster long-lasting mentor-mentee relationships, providing guidance and access to professional networks
  • Provide personalized support and increase career confidence
Offer tailored, one-on-one monthly mentoring sessions that address each student's unique strengths, challenges and aspirations to help them clarify their career pathways and gain confidence
  • Enhance campus collaboration
Partner with academic departments, Student Services and campus organizations to expand mentoring opportunities, align student support and create a campuswide initiative

Mentors meet with students from September through March, and NACE Professional Development are held monthly, along with some Career Services events:
