OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Safety Certification

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions on the job site, and an understanding of OSHA General Industry regulations, enforcement, and compliance. Participants will discuss the OSHA standards that relate to hazard communication, confined spaces, means of egress, fire protection, walking and working surfaces, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, personal protective equipment, hazardous materials, powered industrial trucks, material handling and storage, and welding, cutting, and brazing.

Course Objectives

be able to explain requirements in the OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards that protect workers from common hazards in general industry workplaces.
