Conlon Western Wake will be Wake Tech's newest location when it opens in 2030, replacing the existing Western Wake Campus, which is in a leased facility in Cary. The 34-acre campus, near the intersection of N.C. Highway 55 and N.C. Highway 540 in Apex, will make Wake Tech programs more accessible to residents of the western part of the county.

The site also is within a few miles of several new and expanding biotechnology companies and will feature a Workforce Center to support the biotech and advanced manufacturing training efforts for the region's growing life sciences industry.

Plans call for three academic buildings on the campus, led by the 125,000-square-foot Fujifilm Biotechnologies Hall, which will house campus operations such as Admissions, Financial Aid and a library and serve as the hub for Wake Tech's Entrepreneurship & Small Business Center.

In addition to biotech and business programs, the campus will offer health sciences and IT training, along with the Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees for university transfer.
