The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) provides education, career development and advancement to women educators and students at community colleges. AAWCC and its members are committed to equity and education of all female students at community colleges across the nation.
The Wake Tech chapter of the AAWCC was established in 2018.
In addition to monthly meetings during the Fall and Spring semesters, the Wake Tech chapter offers professional development and networking opportunities and activities of interest to members. Email Programs Committee Chair Martha Swanson at [email protected] for information on upcoming activities or to suggest future activities or events.
AAWCC is an organization for women, not of women. So, in addition to engaging with us through actual membership, we encourage male supporters to attend chapter events, learn from our informational outreach efforts and advocate for the causes we promote.
